Occupational Therapist / Aging in Place Home Assessor
About Still at Home
Still at Home helps older adults remain safely, comfortably, and confidently in the homes they love. We combine home accessibility guidance, in-home assessment, supportive solutions, and continued follow-up as needs change over time.
Our goal is not just to make homes safer — it is to help people continue living well at home with greater independence, dignity, and connection.
Still at Home also operates Still There™ — a passive wellbeing technology that uses home sensors and pattern recognition to keep families quietly connected to aging loved ones. No cameras. No intrusion. Just gentle, informed awareness.
The Role
Still at Home is seeking a compassionate, practical, and entrepreneurial Occupational Therapist / Aging in Place Home Assessor to support older adults and their families across Ottawa.
In this role, you will visit clients in their homes, assess accessibility and safety needs, and recommend practical solutions that improve mobility, confidence, and independence. You will help families understand what changes are needed now while also considering future needs.
This is a dynamic role that combines community-based client work with collaboration alongside leadership staff.
The role offers flexible working hours and may be especially attractive to individuals looking for a secondary opportunity that allows them to explore entrepreneurial interests while helping people in a meaningful, community-based way. Whether this is your primary focus or a complement to your existing practice, we are open to building an arrangement that works.
You will also work alongside senior technology and business leaders helping build a more connected aging in place approach. For candidates who are interested, the role also offers opportunities to contribute to educational and social media content that supports community awareness and marketing.
