Frequently asked questions

What is included in the Still With You subscription?+
Each plan includes an annual CAPS-certified home reassessment, proactive minor adjustments (lighting, handrails, non-slip surfaces), family reporting, and one trusted contact for questions that come up between visits. Higher tiers include additional visits and more extensive preventive work.
How is Still With You different from a home care service?+
Home care services provide personal support workers who help with daily activities. Still With You is different: it focuses on keeping the home itself safe and appropriate as needs change. We do not provide personal care. We provide an ongoing relationship with the home, so the home keeps pace with the person.
Do I need a home renovation before subscribing?+
No. Most Still With You clients start with a home accessibility assessment that identifies small, high-impact changes. A subscription picks up from there: reassessing each year, adjusting as needs evolve, and catching problems before they become incidents.
Can the subscription be paused or cancelled?+
Yes. You can pause or cancel at any time with no long-term commitment. If circumstances change (a move, a hospital admission, a new care arrangement), we pro-rate the remainder and pause without penalty.
Is Still With You available outside Ottawa?+
We currently serve Ottawa and the surrounding Champlain region. If you are outside this area, please contact us. We will tell you honestly whether we can help or recommend a provider in your city.
